Better late than never. As a cloud services provider for nearly 10 years, we at DATABASICS are thrilled that Oracle is finally making the leap. And in a big way. Consider this double-barreled salvo by Oracle co-CEOs Larry Ellison and Mark Hurd, in separate keynotes kicking off Oracle’s OpenWorld 2016 in San Francisco yesterday:
"Amazon's lead is over.
Amazon's going to have serious
competition going forward."
Said Larry Ellison:
- 80% of all IT spending will be on cloud services
- Spending on IT maintenance will decrease to 20% of IT spend

Everyone is spreading the message. Our DATABASICS staff members at the event report that the topic of conversation at the booths, on the floor, and in the bars is all cloud, all the time.
Hurd said that by 2025, only two companies will control 80% of the software-as-a-service (SaaS) market. And that Oracle will be one of them. Whether or not you believe these claims, one thing is true: Oracle is now all about the cloud. It’s about time.

DATABASICS provides cloud-based, next generation Expense Reporting, P-Card Management, Timesheet & Leave Management, and Invoice Processing automation. Specializing in meeting the most rigorous requirements, DATABASICS offers the highest level of service to its customers around the world.
